tomatillos

this plant got huge. it took over a whole section of the garden, shooting out blossoms like they were going out of style. but they never went to fruit - they'd just flower and then fall off. all summer long. then, as the other plants died away and summer started ending, we noticed that little tomatillo casings were popping up all over it! well, now frost has hit the plant and it's dying - so today we harvested what we could before they were ruined. made us a whole lot of tomatillo salsa (mainly using tomatillos from our csa...)! that's nice.
